The University of Rijeka and the Lürssen Design Center Kvarner/Maritime Center of Excellence are honored to announce the second European Forum, dedicated to the topic of maritime innovation ecosystems, discussing the needs of worldwide communities in the contemporary world and emphasizing the need for global and transatlantic cooperation, especially in the field of green energy and ‘hydrogen generation’.
Discussing the modern idea of universities as responsible and engaged actors in increasing social sustainability and well-being, we focus on the discussions surrounding cooperation possibilities in the development of innovations in the context of socially responsible actions of universities and the business sector, emphasizing multilateral initiatives.
By gathering international and national partners from the fields of higher education, science, and the business sector, we seek answers to the global sustainability challenges of maritime cities and regions. The topics of clean energy, the blue economy, and public urban spaces will be the focus of our discussions, wrapping it all up with a special philanthropic element, an official launch of the Lürssen Foundation.
