OBJECTIVE The Program will support talented students attending technical faculties relevant for Maritime sector.

GOAL To ensure access and connection with best students before they enter the labour market.

IMPLEMENTATION MODEL

  • Prestige Lürssen Awards for gifted students attending professional and scientific program studies relevant for sustainable maritime sector,
  • Enabling postdoc sprint programs (micro credentials) for interns by upskilling them in areas of green transition and digital transformation,
  • Continuous opportunity of internship within overall Lürssen Group.
Embedding innovation in maritime industry
-Smart solutions in maritime industry

OBJECTIVE The Program will support startup projects with innovative solutions to respond to sustainable challenges in maritime industry.

GOAL Building partnerships with start-ups and accessing their innovative ideas.

IMPLEMENTATION MODEL

  • Organisation of student’ competitions in development of innovative solutions for maritime industry - Digital Transformation & Green Transition of Maritime Industry Hackathon plus internship in Lürssen Group and study visit to facilities in Germany;
  • Accelerator’ call for proposals to startups and innovative companies on our challenges: Award winners will be supported to develop their ideas which respond to our real-industry challenges in maritime domain.

OBJECTIVE Motivating citizens to participate in the City development and come up with development ideas to improve quality of life.

GOAL To serve the common good and foster regional transformation, the Lürssen Foundation invests in philanthropic projects and grants, aspiring to be reliable partner of the sustainable future.

IMPLEMENTATION MODEL

  • Determination of location/s within the city of Rijeka for which it is necessary to devise a development purpose (interdisciplinary problem-based projects on the topic of public places, urban sustainable development, carbon neutrality, green mobility, citizens wellbeing, social equality and like);
  • Announcing a tender for researchers in which they can propose concrete solutions in the direction of maximum utilization of the city's development potential;
  • Upon delivery of development solutions, the selection of the best solutions;
  • Promotion of the winning solutions at the final event open to the public;
  • Awarding plan of 2 selected projects.
